According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Colin Kaepernick was "impressed" by Las Vegas Raiders officials during his workout.

Rapoport seemingly alluding to an increased chance of Kaepernick signing a contract with the Raiders when he said the door is open.

He worked out for an NFL team for the first time in over a year.

Since the end of the 2016 season, the quarterback has been out of the league. He began kneeling during the national anthem to raise awareness of police brutality.

The league and its owners retaliated against him for his activism and froze him out.

Jim Harbaugh, the coach of the Michigan football team, named the quarterback an "honorary captain" for the spring game. He was prepared to work his way back to a starting role if he were to land with an NFL team again.

I spoke with Colin Kaepernick on the sideline after his throwing exhibition at Michigan.

He said he can absolutely still play in the NFL. I asked what is your message to NFL teams: "I can help make you a better team. I can help you win games." pic.twitter.com/rUQTG562D7

The quarterback situation behind Carr is a little less assured for the Raiders.

In his only start with the Cleveland Browns in 2020, Nick Mullens went 20-of-30 for 147 yards and one touchdown.

It might be worth it for the Raiders to bring Colin Kaepernick in to training camp to see if he can beat Mullens or Stidham.
