The upcoming horror flick Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey will allow you to see that beloved fictional character you grew up with live in a dark and grimy setting where he slices people up for a laugh. The director of the film, who also co-wrote and produced the film, said that Winnie and Piglet will be going on a rampage in the movie.

Jagged Edge has previous works including The Legend of Jack and The Curse of Humpty Dumpty. It has an independent horror box, which could potentially make for a fascinating watch, if you are into that sort of thing. Waterfield admitted to Variety that he tried to be very careful with his film to avoid offending Disney. The film is based on a 1962 version of Winnie that's in the public domain, so supporting characters who are still under copyright won't be showing up in the movie. Easter eggs like a tombstone for Eeyore are something I never thought I would have to type in my life.

If you are willing to meet the movie halfway and not immediately be turned off by the idea of children being turned into murderers or having some dark, then Blood and Honey will appeal to you. The internet was filled with that sort of thing a decade or so ago, and this feels like it is pulling from that cloth. The finished product may be worth seeing on a Friday night in the near future, as this may be all in the execution. The movie has a distributor, but not a release date.
