I tried the biggest signature burgers at McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, and Shake Shack.
Some of the burgers were more appetizing than others.
Burger King has a Triple Whopper that has flame-grilled patties.
The double cheeseburger was large.
It cost me $9.49, not including tax. I was able to add my own flavors, but I went with the usual.
The burger patties were covered in cheese.
The pickles were homemade. It was very heavy to pick up. The chain's signature sauce added a lot of flavor. The cheese was thick and melty.
I think biting into the Shake Shack burger was a little overwhelming.
The burger was large, which was both an asset and a problem. I was 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217 800-273-3217
I thought it was worth it despite the higher price. The burger patties were much thicker than most of the other burgers I tried, and the topping definitely took it over the edge in terms of flavor.
I was impressed, but stuffed.
The second most favorite burger was a Mcdonalds Big Mac.
The Double Quarter-Pounder is the burger with the most meat, but I was not sure if the Big Mac was the biggest burger at Mcdonalds. I decided to try both of them to avoid any arguments among Mcdonald's fans who will argue about which is bigger.
I paid $6.49 for a Big Mac at my local Mcdonalds.
There was a lot of food on the sandwich.
The burger patties were manageable and the sandwich was not overwhelming. I liked the Big Mac sauce. The added bun made the sandwich taste like bread and the other flavors were lost, in my opinion.
The sandwich was a good size and very filling, but I wasn't crazy about the flavor profile.
I just wanted more flavor. Between the extra bun and the generous serving of Big Mac sauce, that was all I could taste. The sandwich might have taken a turn for the better because of the condiments.
The 4x4 is the largest burger at In-N- Out and is part of the menu.
The mammoth burger comes with four beef patties, four cheese slices, lettuce, tomato, spread, and the option to add onions. The second-cheapest burger I tried was $7.20 at the In-N- Out location I visited.
The burger was hard to hold in one hand.
It was just a lot of meat. You would have to have a big appetite to get through the whole thing.
The burger was delicious, from the juicy beef patties to the layers of cheese and fresh lettuce and tomato.
I found that the extra patties hindered my eating experience.
The vegetables did not balance out the amount of meat and cheese in the burger. The buns were falling apart while I was eating. I would never order this again. It was too much meat for my liking.
I tried Mcdonalds Double Quarter-Pounder with cheese. I preferred it over the Big Mac.
I noticed that the burger had more meat than the Big Mac. The meat was the star of the show, with the other ingredients barely visible underneath the patties and bun.
I paid $9.69 for the burger.
The Double Quarter-Pounder with cheese comes with a half-pound of meat.
The burger was pretty good thanks to the condiments and large slices of pickles. I normally love a sesame seed bun, but I found this one to be bland, airy, and artificial-tasting.
I would order this again.
The burger didn't feel overwhelming to eat despite having a ton of meat. I thought it was a realistic sandwich compared to the giant burgers from Shake Shack and In-N- Out.
Wendy's Dave's Triple was the second best burger I tried.
The extra-large burger was not on the menu when I arrived at my local Wendy's. I ordered it because of my online research. I wondered if the triple-patty burger was popular, and if many people chose it.
The Dave's Triple burger cost $7.69.
Wendy's Dave's Triple burger comes with nearly a pound of beef, American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and onion.
The sandwich was difficult to pick up, but all of the ingredients were well-balanced. The beef patties would not be overpowering because of the large serving of tomatoes, pickles, and cheese.
This burger had a lot of flavor, the cheese was melty, and the patties were juicy.
I think the flavors were there and it was a good value for the price.
The addition of mayonnaise would be one thing I would change. The tomato-mayo sauce was an unappetizing way to mix the juice from the tomatoes.
The Triple Whopper from Burger King was my favorite burger.
The Triple Whopper comes with three quarter-pound beef patties, similar to the ones at Burger King. The most expensive burger I've tried is $11.28.
The Triple Whopper only has one slice of cheese.
This allowed the other flavors of the burger to come through, and it led to a more appetizing eating experience.
The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions tasted fresh, and added a delicious crunch to the burger that I found missing in some of the others.
I liked the beef patties the most on this burger.
The burger patties had a lot of flavor that made the sandwich taste like it was fresh off the grill. I thought the shape of the patties made the sandwich easier to eat.
I really liked this burger and would definitely order it again. I am not sure if it is worth more than $10, but it was a generous serving and the most delicious out of the bunch.
