The UK's national broadcaster plans to cut up to 1,000 members of staff over the next few years as part of a plan to save 500 million annually.
It is part of the plan to become a digital-led media organization.

The UK and International audiences will now have a single 24 hour news channel from the BBC.
Nadine Dorries, the UK Culture Secretary, froze the license fee in January for two years, while inflation soared.
Dorries has criticized the funding model many times and said that the license fee will be the last one before it is changed. The privatisation of Channel 4 is controversial because it is state-owned but privately-funded.
