The premium cabin meal service will be restored by United Airlines in June 2022. Hopefully it spells the end of the disgusting packaged sandwiches United has been serving for the past year.
The first class meal service of United Airlines will be greatly improved on June 1, 2022. Meal trays will be reintroduced in domestic first class on flights over 800 miles. On mainline flights the meal trays have a hot main course option, while on regional flights the trays have a cold main course option.
In June 2021, United Airlines began restoring meal service in first class. The airline reintroduced meals on domestic flights of over 1,500 miles and hub-to- hub flights of over 800 miles.
Most domestic flights under 800 miles were served packaged sandwiches. This is not a good kind of food.
For flights between 800 and 1,500 miles, a full service on a tray is a great improvement.
United Airlines will restore its pre-pandemic service in international business class on June 1, 2022. United has been serving meals all at once since the start of the Pandemic.
The service will be similar to what it was before the disease. A coursed meal offering, including table linens, and mixed nuts and a drink before the meal starts is back.
As of June 1, 2022, United will bring back spirits to international premium economy and economy. Premium economy will have complimentary liquor for purchase.
United Airlines will resume inflight service on June 1, 2022. The airline will be bringing back domestic first class meals on flights over 800 miles, while restoring a coursed meal service in international business class.
When it came to restoring pre-pandemic service, United was the leader, but it has been lagging a bit since then, as most competitors have restored pre-pandemic service at this point. It's nice to see United catching up.
