The hometown of the left-handed pitcher is a small community west of San Antonio. His parents and a brother still reside in Uvalde, and he attended school in the building where the shooting occurred.
Raley said it was a small town. My brother lives there with his wife and daughter. It hits close to home.
Raley was in the locker room at the stadium when he heard about the killings at his old school.
