If you are not following the private account, there are two ways to do so.
You can copy and paste the private account's name into your browser and then do an image search.
Some of their pictures will come up, having been tagged elsewhere on a public account.
If you're not seeing anything pop up when you search the handle on the images, you may want to add "Instagram" to your query.
If you know someone who follows the private account of someone you want to view, you could always access it through their account with their permission.
If you want to see a specific post, you can ask them to take a picture of the private post and send it to you.
