The Uvalde, Texas, school shooting was the deadliest school shooting in the US in a decade.

Both of these people were talked to by Mashable. There is no connection between the shooter and the shooting. There is no proof that the person who killed 21 people is a woman.

On the evening of May 24, pictures of the Uvalde school shooter and people with similar hair and features were shared on the social networking site. One of the photos was of her. A young woman in New York City is drinking out of a bottle. She posted the photo on the social networking site four days prior. For this story, she refused to give her last name.

In an attempt to debunk the misinformation, Sabrina quickly replied to a number of tweets.

Please remove them, I don't want my image associated with a tragedy.

Others demanded proof while some did not. A new photo of herself in front of the framed painting that can be seen in the background of the original photo is proof that she is the person in the picture.

The photo spread.

She locked her account down and went private for the night so that she wouldn't have access to her followers.

One interesting thing about the photo being spread was that it was uncropped and there was a picture frame above her head. While she had posted a version of that photo on her public account, she had removed the picture frame.

The only thing I can think of is that they took it from the group chat.

Why was she targeted? It is unclear. She said it was safe to say because she is trans.

The photos that were wrongly connected to the mass shooting on 4chan were ripped from a private Discord group that she no longer belonged to. The imageboard has been a hangout for internet troll andedgelords, and has become a home to some of the internet's worst users. Following the shooting in Buffalo two weeks ago, the forum has once again been thrust into the spotlight. The supermarket shooting that left 10 dead was the result of the white supremacist's belief in The Great Replacement, a far-right conspiracy theory.

Far right-wing users quickly latched on to the event and shared the photos of the innocent trans women to make a false claim that the Uvalde school shooter was a trans woman. The photos of the trans women were quickly found in top topics on the social networking site. The photos were shared on social media. Andrew Torba, the founder of the far-right social network, Gab, shared one such photo to his 3.6 million followers on his platform.

Sam Palacios is a 20-year-old trans woman who lives in Georgia. For months, Sam has shared photos of herself on the popular social sharing platform. Sam was unaware that the photos were used to tie her to a school shooting. Users started to comment on her photos.

Sam replied to the first comment that was left about the shooting.

Sam tried to squash the misinformation as quickly as possible by replying to the comments on the forums and posting debunking the lies on other social media platforms. The trans pride flag that was visible in some of her pics was visible in a new photo of her that she posted to Reddit. The next day, Sam posted a new photo with a sign.

Many people are sharing misinformation about the two women because they think the photos are from the shooter's account. The shooter, identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, did post photos of himself on his account before he committed the heinous act. He has a firearm on his lap. The three photos were the only ones posted to his account. The photos of people who are different never appeared on his feed.

The most egregious of the misinformation surrounding the photos of trans individuals came from a congressman.

There has been no evidence that the shooter is trans or that he is an illegal alien. The shooter went to high school in Texas and was born in North Dakota.

The spread of false information and comments they received from the previous night are starting to abate, according to both Sabrina and Sam. She unlocked her account on her own. Sam is still keeping an eye out.

Over the past few months, there has been a noticeable increase in anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. Conservative personality Candace Owens was still spreading lies about the shooter being trans on Wednesday afternoon, despite the fact that there was no proof of that.

The trend is in the wrong direction. Sam summed it up perfectly, "just another day of being trans."
