The quarterback has scheduled a workout with the Raiders and if it goes well, the team could sign him to a contract. The tryout will go down in a few days. In the last few months, Kaepernick has been ramping up his workouts in order to be ready for this moment. He has been on a tour of the country since the end of winter, throwing to wide receivers in various cities weekly. At one of his most recent stops in Washington, he pleaded with NFL GMs to give him a tryout. Mark Davis, the owner of the Raiders, said in April that he believed the guy could still play. Davis said he would welcome him with open arms if the coaches or general manager wanted him to be the quarterback. None of the other quarterbacks on the Raiders' roster has the experience of Colin Kaepernick.
