Eric Kripke told Entertainment Weekly that Amazon has spinoffs for the superhero series. He didn't say who these shows would focus on, but he did say there are more shows in the works. Kripke hopes a second season gets greenlit, though Amazon is yet to decide on a renewal. College-age superheros working to get the best hero contracts in the best series is a currently unnamed spinoff. The cast of that show includes Agent Carter's Tara Butters as the show's showrunner.
The fate of the other shows in development will be determined by how people take to the college show. He said that it was important for each of them to be worth the effort and not just feel like a retread of the prime series. What is the point of doing it?
Amazon is making a smart move in trying to build out the Boys universe, given that there is a big gap in TV superhero universes. What will be interesting to see is how the shows attempt to broaden themselves beyond the cast and the type of satire they put their weight behind. Maybe one of them can be a musical?
