After a three-year hiatus, Star Wars Celebration is back this week, and it looks like it will be packed with news from film, television, and gaming. The Anaheim Convention Center will be the location for this year's edition. Many of the more notable panels and events will be streamed on the Star Wars YouTube channel as well as the front page of Star Wars.com if you don't want to brave the crowds. What you can expect to see here.
There are multiple films in the works with big names like Kevin Feige and Taika Waititi attached, but things have been quiet on the theatrical side of Star Wars since The Rise of Skywalker. Even if it is just a confirmation that the project is still alive, we will hear about it.
You can expect to hear about the new movie or movies during a panel titled "Lucasfilm's studio showcase", which will feature the studio.
The spinoff starring Diego Luna is expected to debut this year, but so far we haven't heard much about it. Expect Andor to be well-represented at Celebration, most likely with a debut trailer and premiere date.
Andor is scheduled to make an appearance during the studio showcase on May 26th.
The second season of The Mandalorian ended at the end of 2020. The bounty hunter and his alien friend made a few appearances in The Book of Boba Fett, but there is still a third season on the way. We don't know much about the new season, so expect a trailer and premiere date.
The Mandalorian is scheduled to make an appearance at the studio showcase on May 26th. If we don't learn about season 3, there is a talk with Jon and Dave on May 28th.
Lucasfilm confirmed earlier this month that production on Ahsoka, a spinoff series that will see the return of Rosario Dawson, was officially underway. It might be too soon to expect anything like a trailer, but there will likely be at least some mention of the Star Wars series on Disney Plus.
Ahsoka isn't on the schedule, but it could be a surprise during the studio showcase on May 26th.
A recent Vanity Fair cover story teased the existence of a coming-of-age Star Wars story with the codename Grammar Rodeo. The show is being directed by Jon Watts and writer Chris Ford, who worked together on Spider-Man: Homecoming.
This series isn't on the schedule, but if it does make an appearance, it will likely be another one featured during the studio showcase.
Lucasfilm is working on a new Star Wars anthology called Tales of the Jedi, but it is only one of many things we know. A panel dedicated to the new series should shed some light on what to expect.
The Tales of the Jedi panel takes place on May 28th from 2:30PM to 3:30PM.
There is a chance that we will get news on a second season of Visions, which is an anthology of Star Wars stories. It was a refreshing take on the sci-fi universe, and there is a lot of potential in revisiting it for even more.
There will be a Star Wars: Visions panel on May 29th.
There are a lot of Star Wars video games in the works. The sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order and a remake of classic Knights of the Old Republic are both possibilities.
There aren't many panels dedicated to video games, at least any of the blockbuster titles, so this might be a mistake. We will keep an eye on the event.
