Leviathan is the newest expedition in No Man's Sky and it offers perhaps the most interesting experience yet.

In Leviathan, death resets a traveller's progress, forcing them to start over with a loadout. The community feeds into a global progress goal that awards players higher quality items with each new life. The community hopes to break out of the cycle of death through shared progress.

The community has been clamoring for a space whale for a long time, and players learn about it along the way.
