Crawford walks it off as Giants win a thriller (0:28)

Brandon Crawford's walk-off single gave the Giants a 13-12 win against the Mets. (0:28)

Joc Pederson talked to Barry Bonds before the game and it was the best night of his career.

The San Francisco Giants beat the New York Mets 13-12 on Tuesday in a game that featured three homers, eight runs and a tying single by Joc Pederson.

Pederson said getting knowledge from such a good hitter and the way he thinks about baseball and hitting helped to connect some dots. It freed my mind up in the box.

Brandon Crawford hit a game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth to give the Giants a victory after they blew a six-run lead.

Francisco Lindor hit a home run and a triple, and the Mets scored seven times in the eighth to beat the Padres.

Pederson and Wade spent 30 minutes with Bonds in the Giants locker room. Pederson excused himself after chatting with Bonds in a private office.

The next thing you know, I was like, "I gotta go", Pederson said.

The Giants gave up two runs in the seventh and seven in the eighth to fall behind. After Pederson tied it with a three-run home run in the bottom half, the Giants came back with two outs and nobody on to stun the Mets and end their five-game losing streak.

After his first one, he was joking about talking to Barry, but then he hit the second and third. You will not cheat him with anything. He is trying to do that every at-bat.

Pederson hit a pair of homers against the Mets. San Francisco's slumping cleanup hitter then crushed his third homer of the night, a three-run drive into McCovey Cove off Drew Smith with two outs in the eighth to erase New York's 11-8 lead.

Mets manager Buck Showalter said that Pederson had a good night against them. That is not the way we have been doing it for the most part, so tonight was a challenge for us.

In May, Pederson was 4-for-46.

It was probably the best individual offensive performance that I have ever seen, considering all the big moments in the game and the need to be resilient even in that last at-bat.

The Mets took the lead in the ninth on Brandon Nimmo's sacrifice fly after Dominic Smith tripled.

In the bottom half, Mike Yastrzemski walked with two outs. Crawford's single drove in Ruf, after he struck out three times earlier.

It was the third time that the save had been blown.

John Brebbia got the win.

The Mets would have been the first National League team to reach 30 wins if they had won. The New York Yankees were the first American League team to do it.

The Mets put together their latest comeback before falling short. The New York Mets scored seven runs in the ninth to beat Philadelphia 8-7 on May 5.

The Giants had a 6-3 lead before Dominic Smith's two-run single made it 8-6. After Mark Canha was caught in a rundown between third and home, Nimmo reached on an infield single and Starling Marte hit a run- scoring single.

Lindor hit a liner into the left-field corner, and Pederson fumbled the ball as all three runners scored. Pete Alonso made a sacrifice fly.

Tommy La Stella hit a three-run home run.
