The Robb Elementary School shooting, in which 19 children and two teachers were killed in Uvalde, Texas, has led to the creation of a centralised hub of verified fundraisers.

The Robb Elementary School shooting is not the only high profile, high casualty gun violence in the country within the past two weeks. It's almost as common as the fundraising scam that preys on such shootings. These false fundraising campaigns are usually run by individuals with no connection to the victims, and they claim to be raising money to help those affected by the shooting.

The Robb Elementary School shooting victims have been the subject of a number of online campaigns that claim to benefit them.

Immediately following the news, GoFundMe formed a crisis team and began monitoring the platform for new donations to help individuals and families.

The Texas Elementary School shooting victims fund was launched by mass shooting support network VictimsFirst, as well as a fund launched by Austin FC supporters Los Verdes.

The platform stated that it has spoken to local Texan officials about how it checks outraisers, and that it holds all donations until it is certain that the money will go to the right party.

The Atlanta spa shooting, the Sacramento mass shooting, and the Buffalo supermarket shooting have all been verified by GoFundMe.

The Robb Elementary School shooting is the 27th school shooting in the US this year.
