Luis Diaz with both cups
Luis Diaz has won the League Cup and the FA Cup with Liverpool since joining in January

The man of the match award and the FA Cup trophy lid on his head were the only things that made him feel uncomfortable when he walked around Wembley.

He could have a third trophy by the end of the week, as he has won two since moving from Porto.

The player, who was playing in the second tier in his home country six years ago, could not have dreamed of a better start to his career.

Despite the Reds missing out on the title by one point on the final day of the season, he promises to play a crucial role in their pursuit of a seventh trophy in Paris on Saturday.

After they celebrated their memorable FA Cup victory over Chelsea, the manager described the player as a glove to their football.

It is what has stood out the most since he arrived - he plays in the front three of the team as if he had grown up with them.

What a boy. What a story. What a player. He gets our football. He fits like a glove to our football.

With six goals and five assists in his 25 appearances so far, it's easy to see why people love him.

Within two months he had scored and assisted against Manchester United at Anfield, done the same against his old rivals Benfica and then set up a goal againstEverton.

He scored against Spurs in the League Cup and then netted against Villarreal in the European semi-final, helping his new team win the League Cup.

"You don't expect miracles immediately from these kind of players but he is not far away from doing exactly that. Long may it continue," Klopp told Sky Sports in March.

There is a reason you sign a player. The quality that he has is the reason. When we saw him, we knew he would fit right in.

It is difficult, but because he did not have to change, we have a really confident boy. We want him to be himself.

While his performances show his confidence, he is also enjoying life in the area.

After messing around with the FA Cup trophy lid at Wembley, he was seen on social media laughing while playing computer games with a goalkeeper.

He Facetimed his old Porto team-mates to celebrate their title win last week - but made sure he had his Liverpool shirt on.

His English isn't great but it doesn't seem to have made a difference, with him often joking about how they overcome the language barrier.

He tried for 10 minutes but I didn't understand what he was saying.

The boss has joked that he doesn't know what else to say, so he shouts "vamos" after the match.

"The manager? Incredible! That's a single word you can use for him from the short time we've spent working together," Diaz said last month.

He tries to make his players happy, and for me that is very important. He wanted me to know that I had been performing well up until now and that I should just try to keep on doing more of the same - to play my football with joy and happiness, while obviously incorporating the preferred tactical plans.

Luis Diaz
Luis Diaz described Jurgen Klopp as a "humble, down-to-earth person"

In an interview with Semana, his mother said that he was alreadyturing as a person despite not being there long.

She said that she has seen him the same way since he was a child. He hugs me when I play my games.

He has been able to get along with his teammates. They welcome him for being who he is.

It would be a surprise if he didn't start against Real Madrid in the final because his market value has rocketed since joining.

In a squad that includes Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Diogo Jota, Diaz has quickly established himself as a starter.

The intensity of the game is what you can see the most.

I had that aspect to my game as I spent time at Porto and I think I learned a lot there. I will continue to improve here but I am happy to have settled in the way that I have.
