The newest hiking trail in Switzerland is called ViaBerna.

The country&s scenery is showcased to hikers of all abilities on the new 300 km hiking trail. ViaBerna has 20 stages that range in length from 10 km to 24.3 km and are rated easy, moderate or difficult.

The forested slopes of the Jura Mountains are where the first five stages of the new route extend. Bern is the capital of Switzerland. The trail leads through the Alps to the Susten Pass. The trek also includes stops in Bern and Spiez.

Hikers will get to see windmills and gorges as they pass through the Jura.

1. Travelers can hike from Bern to Münsingen in the Aare Valley. Bern is a great place to visit due to its rich history and friendly inhabitants.

2. The summit of Mont-Sujet in the Jura offers hikers a colorful backdrop of wooded pasture, green forests and vibrant flowers. The view of the Alps is the reward for the climb.

3. One of the region's most popular experiences is the hike through the mystical Taubenloch Gorge. You can follow the Suze river to get to the gorge.

4. The towers that date back to the 12th century are located in the town of Thun. It has turrets that give it a great view of the lake and Alps. The baroque hall and octagonal tower are from the 14th century. The view of the lake and Alps from the botanical gardens is amazing.
