Apple is celebrating Pride Month in June with two new Apple Watch faces and new colorful straps. They will be on sale later today through Apple's web stores with a later launch in physical stores.
There are two watch bands for sale, the Pride Edition Sport loop and the Pride Edition Nike Sport loop. Both come with a Pride rainbow, but Apple's is brighter and more vibrant than Nike's. The Pride Threads watch face is built to mirror the loops of the Pride Edition Sport loop band.
Apple is also launching a new social media campaign. This campaign will focus on people and places that are relevant to the LGBTQ+ movement, but will also include images captured using iPhones.
The series will feature works from photographers Ryan McGinley at Stonewall Inn in New York, Evan Benally Atwood at Window Rock in Arizona, and Caia Ramalho at The Homomonument in Amsterdam.
Along with the new products, Apple highlights its support for organizations that deal with the issues of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transsexual (LGBT) people.
Apple's Pride Edition Sport loop and Pride Edition Nike Sport loop are available for $49 and can be ordered from the Apple web store and the Apple Store app. They will not be in physical stores until May 26. The Pride Watch face is available with the Apple Watch Series 4 forwards as long as you are running watchOS 8.6 and have a modern phone.
