Forbes estimates that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has a net worth of $9.1 billion. In March, the team will be sold byAbramovich, who was under pressure from British politicians over his reported ties to Russian President Putin. The U.K. imposed sanctions on him after he planned to sell the team and donate the proceeds to the victims of the war in Ukraine. A group of billionaires, including Britain's richest man Sir James Ratcliffe and the owners of the Chicago Cubs, are trying to purchase the team.
