After selling an NFT for a cool $69.3 million, digital artist Mike has fallen victim to hackers who stole hundreds of thousands.
According to Harry Denley, the criminals made off with $438,000 in assets after hacking the artist and directing his 673,000 followers to a fake collaboration between the artist and Louis Vuitton.
Denley noted in his thread that the hackers stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of digital goods after Beeple regained control of his account.
Beeple advised his followers to stay safe because anything too good to be true is a FUCK.

The exchanges have been targeted by high volumes. The FBI arrested a bizarre rapper and her husband after they were accused of money-laundering for their involvement in the theft of about $30 million from the exchange.
Why do people keep falling for these types of hacks and heists, when they seem more like the rule than the exception?
