The world's first 500Hz G-sync display will be announced today. We saw a prototype 500Hz gaming monitor earlier this year, and now it's being shipped with a panel that's designed for high definition games. The price and release date for the new ROG Swift 500Hz monitor have not been announced.

Two years ago, the two companies collaborated to introduce a new gaming monitor at the Consumer Electronics Show. Even though PC gaming monitors are usually purchased in the range of 144Hz, it still isn't very common. It might sound like a lot, but it will make a difference for people who want the best of the best.

The Phantom VEO 640S motion camera was used to prove the point. The camera has 72GB of RAM and can record up to 1,000 frames per second. The new 500Hz monitor will make target tracking easier, and less ghosting will make games more enjoyable. The real key with a high refresh rate monitor is that you can see players more quickly than someone using a smaller monitor.

To power a 500Hz monitor, you need a powerful gaming PC and graphics card. The next-gen RTX 4090 card will be an ideal companion for a 500Hz panel, according to rumors. The ROG Swift 500Hz monitor is a good choice for games that need a high-end graphics card.

The Swift 500Hz also includes a G-sync esports mode that allows more light to travel through the LCD crystals, and the ROG's Reflex Analyzer to measure system latency. The panel uses a new technology called E-TN, which is 60 percent better at responding to emergencies.

New G-sync monitors were announced earlier this year that allow you to pick between 1440p and1080p modes. The displays have a special mode and refresh rates.
