Cardiff City's Oliver Denham challenges Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino

Nathan Broadhead has been forced to withdraw from the squad for June's World Cup play-off final and four Nations League matches after receiving a first Wales call-up.

Denham has played in just five games this season.

Wes Burns was recalled to the squad by Robert Page.

Broadhead withdrew because of an injury.

Page last week named an extended 27 man squad, seemingly designed to help manage a congested summer fixture list, but it was the first time that the 24 year old had been included.

Wales will try to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in 60 years when they face either Scotland or Ukraine in Wales.

Poland is in the Nations League. They will host the Netherlands and Belgium on 8 and 11 June, before travelling to the Netherlands for their final game on 14 June.

Burns has previously been in the Wales squad but is uncapped.
