When you're a space god, you don't like messy breakups. The love of his life, Jane Foster, had to part with him years before the events of the movie. The duo are in the second trailer for the movie. The key difference is that Jane has become the mighty THOR, complete with the powers of THOR himself.
Do you know how Jane can wield the hammer? The answer goes all the way back to the first movie in the series. The enchantment on the hammer says that whoever holds it, if he be worthy, will have the power of THOR. Jane can be the new hero because she has the heart of a hero. Jane's new role might make her and her ex-boyfriend awkward.
Beyond their complicated relationship, there is an immediate problem for the Thors to deal with. The God Butcher is carving his way through the universe. One at a time, true to his name, Gorr has the means and the will to kill every god in creation. There is a backup for Thor and Jane.
Jeff Goldblum and Jaimie Alexander play Sif and Grandmaster, respectively. The entire cast of the movie is reprising their roles, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, and Bradley.
Taika Waititi directed and wrote the script for the film. On Friday, July 8th, there will be a release of THOR: LOVE AND THUD.
