According to sources, the Denver Nuggets president has agreed to a five-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves that is worth over 40 million dollars and includes ownership equity.

The second consecutive top basketball executive has left the Nuggets for a more lucrative offer. When Ujiri left Denver for Toronto, he replaced him.

The ownership equity with Minnesota is life-changing money, which is something only a few executives have in their deals, so Denver made a bid to keep him.

One of the NBA's best talent evaluators and deal-makers, Connelly has built a reputation as one of the NBA's best talent evaluators and deal-makers, maintaining strong relationships with top player agents and the respect of his front-office peers. He has a good relationship with the player he drafted in the NBA draft. Jokic is eligible for an extension.

After nine years of building the Nuggets into a contender, injuries ended the team's run to the Western finals in the past two seasons.

Three years ago, he turned down an opportunity to become the Washington Wizards top basketball executive. The first few years of his career with Washington were spent in Baltimore.
