Travelers who are fully vaccine free will no longer need a Covid test to enter the country. Travelers who have not beenvaccinated are still required to present a negative Covid test result.
More than 70% of the eligible population in Barbados is fully vaccineed, according to Prime Minister Mia Mottley.
She said during a press conference on May 21 that removing the entry test will have positive implications for the country's tourism experience.
Travelers must complete a travel form via the app 24 hours prior to their arrival. Visitors who are notvaccinated must include a negative test result. Travelers are required to take a test before they return to the U.S.
On public transportation, masks are mandatory.
The Minister of tourism and international transport Lisa Cummins commented on the significance of the update to the travel protocols, saying that it signals to our travelers that it is safe to come to Barbados. We are in a position where we can comfortably accommodate many of the same measures they are experiencing at home such as the protocols for mask wearing and testing for certain activities.
The Caribbean countries that still require a negative Covid entry test for travelers are Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Trinidad and Tobago.
