Will the Heat prevail in Game 4 without Tyler Herro? (0:54)

Smith and Redick discuss what Tyler Herro's injury means for the Heat. (0:54)

Tyler Herro won't play in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals because of a left groin strain. After Monday's shootaround, the Heat coach made the announcement that Herro would be day to day.

We had to be responsible and take the decision out of his hands. The trainers are with a doctor. Selesnick doesn't think that's the best idea just because of the intensity We will treat him day-to-day, and we will see what happens from here.

With Herro out of Monday's game, veteran Victor Oladipo will get even more minutes in the short term. In Saturday's win, he scored five points and collected four steals in 20 minutes.

We feel like our depth is one of our biggest strengths.

The Heat's Jimmy butler, who sat out the second half of the game because of a knee injury, will warm up with the intention of playing. The Celtics guard was asked if a play midway through the second quarter had anything to do with the injury to Butler. Pritchard tried to slow down the man by grabbing his knee.

It could have had an effect. It wasn't a basketball play. We don't know why it was determined that it was a basketball play, or that it was a legal play, or that it was a safe play. We don't know if that was the cause of Jimmy's injury. It should be two separate examples. We don't need it, we don't care, the league doesn't have to do anything.

The Heat's video staff was aware of the play by Pritchard later in the day, according to the coach.

They can do whatever they want. That has nothing to do with us trying to win. We are not crying. We are not asking for nothing.
