After his trilogy against Gennady Golovkin, Canelo will have a second fight with Dimiry Bivol.

During a press conference Monday, he said he will honor his September fight against GGG.

The fight with Golovkin is the most important fight in boxing.

We are going to do it again, and the important thing is perseverance. We are going to announce the fight on the day after, but we have to wait a little.

The fight was set up in advance of the loss to Bivol. There was a rumor that the GGG fight would be pushed back in favor of a Bivol fight.

It looks like that won't be the case.

GGG was defeated by Alvarez a year later after the two fought to a draw. Four years later, both boxers had built the hype for a second fight, with GGG's fight againstRyota Murata and Alvarez's fight against Bivol seemingly being one final tune-up before they finished their trilogy.

Bivol used his size to work over the smaller Alvarez as they fought to the scorecards.

These are the two biggest fights in boxing. It is fair to wonder how much air it would take out of a Bivol rematch if Canelo drops his bout against GGG in September.
