Many people were excited about the possibility of getting a better fingerprint sensor than what is currently available in the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, when the new Pixel 6a was unveiled at the I/O conference two weeks ago. The new sensor in the new phone could make a huge difference for people who pick it up.

The original video can still be watched via this mirror, even though it has been taken down on YouTube. There is not much in the box other than a cable, a sim card, and the phone itself, which is what you would expect from a $450 phone. Things get quite interesting once the gentleman in the video gets to the unlocking part.

The company confirmed that it is using a different physical sensor than the optical one in the Pixel 6a. Even if he only does it once, the fact that he unlocked it from a slightly awkward angle gives even more hope that this fingerprint sensor will solve all the issues people have had with.

The style and overall design of the Pixel 6a is similar to that of the more expensive version of the phone. It has the same camera bar design on the back, a small punch-hole camera on the front, and a unique overall style that will let everyone know you are using a Pixel 6.
