Christopher McQuarrie wrote and directed Dead Reckoning, which brings back Tom Cruise and his character, Ethan Hunt, for a new mission that puts the world in mortal peril. There isn't much in the way of plot in this trailer, just music and visuals to sell the film's big scope, along with a brief tease of some of the film's bigger set pieces. Cruise is going to ride a motorcycle off a mountain and jump into the air in a wingsuit to safety. It definitely looks like it will be seen in theaters.
Since the first part of Hunt's saga is intended to be the first of a two-parter, it brings back some old faces from previous movies. The film's main baddie is new to the film, as is beloved character actor Shea Whigham. The characters are expected to return in Dead Reckoning 2 in 2024.
The movie "Dead Reckoning Part One" will be released on July 14, 2023.
