The front-facing camera of the new iPhone will be made in South Korea for the first time, according to a report.
A Chinese candidate was ousted by Apple to choose a South Korean company to supply the front-facing camera. The company is said to have originally planned to use a different camera for the phone, but decided to use the front-facing camera this year.
The change is said to be due to Apple reclassifying the front-facing camera as a high-end component and quality concerns with Chinese suppliers. The cost of the new front-facing camera is three times more than the previous ones.
The report was similar to a previous rumor that said the front-facing camera would support autofocus for the first time. The four models of the iPhone 14 are Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14.
The front camera's sensor would be able to see more light through the lens if the lens was widened. A better depth-of-field effect for Portrait mode photos and videos could be provided by these camera upgrades. The front camera on the 13 models of the phone has a fixed focus and a smaller one.
The front camera of the iPhone 14'' is said to be being prepared for mass production by the company.
