Benjamin Mendy, a footballer for Manchester City, entered not guilty pleas to nine charges of sexual offenses against six women.

Mendy denied all the charges at Chester Crown Court.

The French international is accused of sexual assault and attempted rape.

The alleged crimes took place at his home.

The trial for the defender is scheduled for July 25.

Louis Saha Matturie also entered not guilty pleas to a number of charges.

The 40-year-old denied eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault, relating to alleged attacks on eight women between July 2012 to August 2021.

Mendy, who has made 50 appearances for Manchester City since joining from Monaco, was suspended by the club after being charged.
