Corsair has unveiled its first laptop that is designed for streamers and gaming. It has an all-AMD affair, with both the Ryzen 6000-series processors and the Radeon RX 6800M graphics card. It appears to be some of the first fruit from the purchase of Origin.

The 10-key macro bar above the keyboard is powered by Elgato and allows streamers to modify controls using Stream Deck software. You don't have a MacBook Pro touch bar situation where the function keys have been replaced, as it has those, too. The macro bar can be accessed even when the laptop is not in use.

You will be able to change the keys to different live streaming controls. That way, you could control streaming from your laptop, and the keys could also be used with video conferencing apps.

The 16-inch 2,560 x 1,600 display is ideal for gaming with a good blend of resolution and speed. A full-sized keyboard with Cherry MX ultra-low profile mechanical switches, and a1080p30 webcam with a physical privacy shutter are some of the features aimed at streamers.

Corsair is offering two versions with either a Ryzen 7 6800HS or a Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, along with a graphics card. The Ryzen 7 and 9 models have 64 and 2 terabytes of memory, respectively, and are well-equipped for gaming and creative work. There are a pair of Thunderbolt 3-enabled ports, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port and a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, along with an audio jack and a card reader.

The design is different from other gaming laptops, but it is sleek and has a thin display section. It is a bit heavier than the HP Omen 16 gaming laptop. The touch bar requires more space than the bottom bezel can accommodate.

Corsair appears to be taking on Razer in the enthusiast gaming segment with the Voyager Advantage Edition. The price tags for the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 models were shown in Corsair's press release, but the company said availability and pricing will be announced at a later date.
