The general standard of airport lounges in the United States isn't great. If you think of airport lounges, you might think of crowded rooms with outdated furniture and cheap wine.
In this post, I want to share some of my favorite airport lounges in the United States. I will share my favorite lounge among a variety of categories rather than just doing a numerical ranking. In no particular order, here we go.
The Capital One Lounge DFW is simply amazing. It has beautiful design, innovative amenities, a great food and drink selection, and exceptional service. I can't wait to see the Capital One network grow. Capital One has the better quality of the Amex lounges.
American Flagship First Dining JFK is one of the nicer things about American Airlines. This restaurant is located inside the Flagship Lounge and is only open to first class customers. The lounge has amazing views of the apron, friendly service, and a food and drink selection that will make you think you are flying with a different airline.
I would argue that the United Polaris Lounges are the best business class lounges in the world. I would choose the United Polaris Lounge SFO if I needed to pick one. The lounge has beautiful design, nap rooms, shower suites, barista-made coffee, a la carte dining, and more.
The new club is called Delta Sky Club. I have not personally visited this lounge, but I think it is one of the best in the United States. Delta Sky clubs are better than American Admirals clubs. The lounge is massive, has creative decor, and has an outdoor terrace.
The Qantas First Lounge LAX is the best lounge that can be accessed on account of elite status. Oneworld Emerald members can access the Qantas First Lounge at Tom Bradley International Terminal, which is an excellent restaurant-style dining experience.
There aren't many lounges in the United States that are run by alliances. The Star Alliance Lounge LAX is open to Star Alliance first and business class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold members. The outdoor terrace and indoor terrace are the best features of the lounge. There is a separate first class section to the lounge. The Korean Air Lounge that most SkyTeam passengers are sent to is in a league of its own.
Air France first class is one of the best first class products in the world, and that experience starts on the ground. Air France has a hidden lounge for first class passengers at New York JFK, which is better than the ground experience in Paris. The intimate room has a few couches and dining tables and a great wine selection.
There are a variety of lounges in the United States, ranging from the best membership lounge to the best business class lounge.
What are your favorite lounges in the United States? Even if it's the best Priority Pass lounge, any others that stick out?
