The messaging service plans to stop support for the operating system. After October 24th, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system will no longer be supported on the iPhone. The company recommends that the baseline for iPhone owners should be iOS 12. If you're still holding on to an Apple device, you'll be able to use the app on it, but you'll need to upgrade to a new phone.

Chances are the move won't affect a lot of people because the iPhone 5 and 5c are nearly a decade old. It's usually a hand-me-down when you see an Apple product in the wild. There are bound to be at least a few iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c owners among the millions of people who depend onWhatsApp to communicate with their friends and family.
