According to a report from The Washington Post, Larry Ellison, one of the world's richest people and co- founder of theOracle software company, was involved in a November 2020 call to develop plans to contest the results of the US presidential election. Donald Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow, Senator Lindsey Graham, Fox News host Sean Hannity, and True the Vote attorney James Bopp Jr. participated in the call.

According to the Post, details of the call surfaced in a court filing related to a legal battle between True the Vote, a nonprofit organization that promotes baseless claims about election fraud, and Fair Fight, a voting rights organization. Fair Fight filed a complaint against True the Vote, accusing them of attacking voter eligibility in Georgia.

Jim was on a call with Jay Sekulow, Lindsey O. Graham, Sean Hannity, and Larry Ellison, according to an email seen by the Post.

An anonymous call participant told the Post that Ellison was on the call and that Graham may have been the one to invite him. According to the source, the tech executive was brought on to discuss the allegations that the voting machines interfered with the results. Kevin Bishop, a spokesman for Graham, told the Post that it was probably because Ellison supported Trump.

Ellison still serves as the company's chief technology officer and remains an executive chairman after stepping down as CEO. Ellison worked closely with the former president to collect information about trial data associated with anti-malarial drugs in the treatment of COVID-19, and held a major fundraiser for Trump in February 2020. Ellison donated 15 million dollars to a super PAC that supports Senator Tim Scott, who has expressed interest in being Trump's running mate in the presidential election.

Ellison is the biggest backer of the Musk takeover, committing $1 billion to the cause. In the past, Ellison called Musk a very close friend and even joined the board of directors of the company.
