Taras Rudnytskyi said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky buys clothes where people shop.
The Ukrainian manager runs the US operations of M-TAC, the company behind one of the signature olive green fleece jackets the Ukrainian leader has been sporting since Russia invaded his country.
Rudnytskyi told Insider that the demand for the zip-up jacket was very high since the conflict began.
After the war began, the company focused on producing fleece for the military in the country, meaning they ran out of stock.
Rudnytskyi said that hostilities have made it difficult to continue any type of production.
Zelensky was pictured wearing an M-TAC fleece during his meeting with Nancy Pelosi. The item is frequently used in his televised addresses to the world.
Zelensky's leadership during the invasion has been praised by Ukrainians and international supporters.
Rudnytskyi said that Zelensky is now like a rockstar, explaining why people want to dress like him and why there have been so many requests for the fleece.
The jacket that Zelensky had signed was auctioned off at a charity event hosted by the Ukrainian embassy in London.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged attendees to place high bids on the item, with the proceeds going to Ukrainian war relief efforts.

Since the conflict began, demand from Ukrainians for other items made by M-TAC has increased. The military is a Rudnytskyi customer because of its practical and functional products.
