Heard's legal team is led by Elaine Bredehoft, and she is not getting much of a shoulder to cry on from the public. It has been a difficult week for Team Heard, at least according to the general consensus online. If you watched that on Tuesday, you could see the frustration as the judge continued to ask questions, almost to the point the judge could barely say anything. Bredehoft seemed to acknowledge the difficulty in the moment, looking up into her thoughts and figuring out a way to ask something without objection. She said, "I'm trying, I'm trying, and in the end, didn't have too successful of a redirecting." After the judge told her she could return to her attorneys, she left the courtroom in a hurry. Amber seemed angry. There are unconfirmed rumors that she and her team have gotten into squabbles and shouting matches in court when the camera wasn't rolling. It would seem to lend credence to the belief that the defendants are getting lawyered throughout the trial. Elaine seems to have gotten the sympathy of some people on TikTok and elsewhere, as well as a few people who seem to think she's got it. Elaine would fiercely disagree with that characterization, and it is up to the jury to decide who will win. Some people might think that the testimony she gave was enough to back up her claim that Johnny was abusive, but others think the witnesses she put on afterwards were more effective. Ellen Barkin testified that he threw a wine bottle at her and was jealous. If the jury believes Johnny struck her on one occasion, he loses. It is anyone's ball game at the moment.
