President Joe Biden made Russia's blacklist, but former President Donald Trum didn't.
Russia's Foreign Affairs Ministry on Saturday released an updated list of nearly 1,000 Americans permanently barred from entering the country, a largely symbolic slap in response to harsh sanctions imposed by Western countries for its brutal invasion of Ukraine in February.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff were all banned from visiting Russia by Biden.
The updated list now includes Biden's scandal-plagued son Hunter Biden, as well as Vice President Harris and Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state and first lady.
George Soros is a billionaire investor. Both Russia and right-wing conspiracy theorists have found him to be a boogeyman because of his philanthropic support of liberal causes.
The list of banned Americans did not include Trump. Trump has praised Putin and criticized investigations into Russia's interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Trump was impeached for pressuring Zelenskyy to announce investigations into Biden, who was the leading Democratic candidate for the White House.
Trump was found not guilty in the Senate.
A spokeswoman for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The brother of Mike Pence, the vice president, is banned from the list.
There are 218 Democratic members of the House of Representatives and 218 Democratic members of the Senate.
The GOP House members on the banned list included two hard-core, Republican Trump supporters, Matt Gaetz of Florida and Paul Gosar of Arizona.
The two Democratic House members who have policy stances that are not in line with Trump's are also on the list.
Nancy Pelosi was banned from receiving communion by the archbishop of the San Francisco Roman Catholic Archdiocese because of her support for abortion rights.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Russian counter-sanctions are aimed at forcing the American regime to change its behavior.
The ministry accused the U.S. of trying to impose a rules-based world order on the rest of the world.
