Cafu and Brazil celebrate winning the World Cup
Cafu was the last Brazil captain to lift the World Cup, 20 years ago

Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the best right-backs in the world and his style of play reminds Cafu of his own.

The Reds are in the hunt for four trophies and Alexander-Arnold has had another great season.

The Reds have won two cups so far and are in the running to win the league and the cup.

Cafu said Alexander-Arnold's progress since his debut has been amazing.

Since breaking into the first team, the academy product has played more than 200 games for the Reds.

He provided 19 assists in all competition and scored twice, as well as lifting the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

The next week will determine if the team can win all four major trophies in a single season, something no other English team has done. They play Wolves on the final day of the top flight on Sunday and face Real Madrid in Paris the following Saturday.

Cafu, who spent most of his career in Italy with AC Milan, has been following Alexander-Arnold and the campaign he has had. His progress over the last few years has been amazing and he is one of the best right-backs in the world.

He is young, strong and has developed hugely considering his age. I see a lot of similarities between him and myself, because he has a lot of experience.

We both had a will and commitment to attack, to shoot and to put the crosses in. The diagonal movements he makes on the pitch are similar to what I did as a player.

'England have a good chance to go far'

England will play Iran on the opening day of the World Cup in the state of Qatar, six months from now.

Since taking over, the side has gone from being ranked fifth in the world to fifth, breezing through qualification and reaching the European Championship final, where they lost to Italy on penalties.

Cafu said that England has evolved most on the pitch in the last few years.

They have a very strong squad with individual players who are performing at a very high level for their clubs. The progress the national team has made with their players means they have a good chance to go far in the competition.

The England players have a better chance of winning if they listen to their coach.

'A failure if Brazil don't win World Cup'

England v Brazil in 1970
Cafu was born on 7 June 1970, the same day as England and Brazil played in the group stages of the World Cup

Brazil go into the tournament as favorites, with a squad full of talent with a spine, including Alisson and Fabinho, and Marquinhos.

Cafu is the only man to have appeared in three consecutive finals, winning in 1994, losing in 1998 and captaining the team to victory in 2002.

European teams have won the trophy four times in the past five years.

Cafu, who is an ambassador for this year's World Cup, said that Brazil is under pressure to win it. They are a country with a lot of history.

The pressure to win is always present in any game, not just the World Cup. The expectation is that we have a good generation of Brazilian footballers coming through.

It is clear that if we don't win the World Cup it will be a failure. We all hope that we can do it. The most important thing is to play a good World Cup and be competitive, then the final result is something no-one can predict.

If both England and Brazil finish top of their groups and progress through the knockout stages, they will meet in the final on 18 December at the 80,000-capacity Lusail Stadium in Doha.

The two sides met in the group stages of the World Cup on the same day that Cafu was born.

It would be considered a dream final for the Brazilian people because of the historical weight of the two nations in football.

This match would carry huge emotion and it would be beautiful for the fans of England, as well as for football in general.
