The golfer was hit in the head by a tee shot during the second round of the PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club on Friday.

Smith's tee shot hit Wise in the head as he leaned over to identify a ball in the fairway. Smith's shot was far to the right on the second hole.

I was walking down seven and I was surprised my ball was in the fairway. I was pretty normal after that, but that happened for 20 seconds.

Wise, who is 91st in the Official World Golf Ranking, immediately asked for water. He was able to get up and down for par on the seventh and 16th holes. He made a bogey on the ninth.

Wise said that he had a great up and down on seven and eight. I was trying to calm myself down and get back to being normal.

Wise was 2-over for the round. He was in front of the cut line after 36 holes.

After the round, Wise had an ice pack on his head. He was taken to player services, where he lay down for about 20 minutes, and had a red mark on his hat.

Dahmen said he was fine, but the ball took off another 40 or 50 yards down the fairway. It was in the rough. You could hear it. The spectators heard it. It was loud.

Smith yelled "Fore!" on the tee box.

Dahmen said that it was so far away that anyone could not hear it. One hundred people could have yelled "Fore" and you wouldn't hear it.
