It looks like former Chicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles won't be spending a lot of time as a free agent.
According to The Athletic's Zak Keefer, the Indianapolis Colts are working to add the veteran quarterback by next week.
Frank Reich told reporters last week that the Colts would be interested in adding a veteran to back up Matt Ryan.
It would make sense for the Colts to add Foles, as he won the Super Bowl with Reich as his offensive coordinator. During the regular season, neither has attempted a pass.
After winning the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, Nick Foles was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars and then to the Chicago Bears. In four starts, he completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 736 yards and three touchdown.
Each of the last two seasons, Nick has shared time at quarterback with Mitchell Trubisky and Andy Dalton. He completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 2,102 yards and 11 touchdown in 10 games over the two seasons.
If the Colts don't add Foles, there are still a number of veteran quarterbacks available, including Ryan Fitzpatrick and Mike Glennon. That said, it is possible to find the best one.
