Air travel was thrown for a loop by the Pandemic, forcing the closing of some airports and turning others into ghost towns.
This week's Down to Business looks at the business of flying and looks at what's happening at airports today with reports of long lines and extended waits.
The Air Canada Component of Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents about 9,500 flight attendants at Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge, as well as the vice president and chief external affairs officer at the YVR, were guests.
The guests said that if people want to resume air travel, the sector and its airports are a long way from a recovery, with acute specialized staffing shortages and the effects of the Pandemic still disrupting normal air travel. Arrive early for your flight and expect longer waits in the airplane.
