In order to build up hype for the fourth season of the show, Netflix is letting you watch a lot of it. The first eight minutes of the introductory episode have been shared by the service. We won't give away too much information, but we will say that it's mostly a back story that sets the stage for what's to come. Some episodes of the fourth season are very long. There are seven episodes that are conventionally-sized apart from the last, which runs for an hour and 38 minutes. Volume 2 is arriving July 1st. The last two episodes ran for over two and a half hours. You are effectively watching a feature film. There are reasons for the duration. The Duffer Brothers have said they plan to finish the story in four or five seasons. There are scenes in California, Russia, andelsewhere in the story, and the creators are determined to tie up every loose end.
