The new flagship CineBeam ultra- short throw projector, model HU915QE, was just unveiled. The 4K three-channel laser projector has an excellent 0.19 throw ratio and is capable of projecting a 100 inch image from just 9.8 cm from a wall.

The AWOL LTV-3500 requires a distance of 24.9% to achieve the same 100 inch diagonal picture size. It can easily exceed the width of common sideboards where the projector will live, even though it doesn't sound like a large span.

To make the most of the projector's support for HLG, you can place the new CineBeam 18.3 cm from an Ambient Light Rejection screen for a giant 120-inch picture with improved contrast. You should be prepared to spend another $1,000 or so.

Requires 18.3cm (7.2 inches) for a giant 120-inch picture.

It's easy to access all your favorite streaming services with the webOS that the HU915QE runs. It has support for screen mirroring, Apple's AirPlay 2, and a pair ofusb 2.0 jacks. The projector has an integrated 40W 2.2 channel speaker for use in a pinch, or a trio of HDMI eARC ports to make the most of your home theater sound setup.

Key markets in North America, Europe and the Middle East, as well as Latin America and Asia, will be available in the first half of 2022.
