The Taliban ordered all women to cover their faces while on air.
The TOLOnews staff was told about the new rule on Wednesday by the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.
The staff at other media outlets were told on the same day.
The new rule will come into effect on May 21 and female presenters are being advised to make the change earlier.
Two people spoke to CNN about the change and they cried.
They want women to be removed from the screen. They are afraid of educated women.
They deprived girls of going to school and then came onto the media. She says that they don't want the presence of women in general.
Girls high schools were closed by the Taliban in March.
The woman who works in Kabul believes that the change was designed to push women out of the industry.
She said that they were putting pressure on them to stop presenting.
