Donald Trump will no longer support David Perdue, the Georgia GOP gubernatorial candidate whom the president previously endorsed but is now performing poorly in polls.

According to NBC News, four sources said that Trump had been complaining about Perdue.

One source told NBC that Trump was not going to visit Georgia to stump for Perdue because he thought Perdue was struggling and the race against Kemp was lost.

The anonymous source said that either David has a bunch of geniuses working for him or he has run the most flawed campaign in America.

The data from political action committees was reported by NBC. The outlet stated that Perdue's PAC put out only around $280,000 worth of ads, while Kemp's is on track to spend more than $1 million in campaign advertising.

Perdue has not been performing well.

According to a survey done for Fox News, Perdue is trailing far behind the other candidate, Kemp, with 40% of the people who voted early or cast early ballots saying they voted for Kemp.

A representative for Perdue did not reply immediately.

The former president began supporting Perdue on December 6, 2021.

David Perdue is running for Governor of Georgia. He is a Conservative fighter who is not afraid of the Radical Left.

He said that Kemp was a very weak governor.

David Perdue has my complete and total endorsement. Trump wrote in his message that he would not let you down.

Perdue was mentioned nine times by Trump in his daily statements. The email blasts sent from the Trump team show that the last mention of Perdue was on April 25.

It is not easy to beat an incumbent.

After some of his high-profile endorsements have flopped in their respective races, Trump has backed away from Perdue.

Two weeks ago, the former president bragged about his endorsement record and said GOP candidates who want to win should fear him.

The claim was undermined this week when controversial freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn was ousted by his primary challenger. Charles Herbster lost his race for governor of Nebraska last week after allegations of sexual assault from eight women.

Many of the endorsements that Trump has made have yet to play out. Most of the Trump-endorsed political candidates have won, but many are running in uncontested races.
