Daredevil fans who were disappointed when the show was axed have something to look forward to. Variety reported that Disney+ is moving forward with a series about the blind lawyer-turned-superhero Matt Murdock. Matt Corman and Chris Ord will write and executive produce the series for the streaming service. The Brave and Covert Affairs were created by Corman and Ord.
Daredevil is one of many titles that have been revived on Disney+ as shows. This year, the streamer has released six other shows, including Hawkeye, and many more to follow. The shows based on characters from the comic book company left the streaming platform earlier this year.
Variety states that the Daredevil Disney+ show is still in the very early stages. In this year's Spider-Man:No Way Home, Charlie Cox, who played the lead character, returned to his old role, as didVincent D'Onofrio, who reprised his Daredevil role. There is no telling if the actors will return to the new series.
The cancellation of the show shocked its many fans, and D'Onofrio shed some light on that in an interview with the news desk. The actor said that the departure of the show was likely due to the rise of the group Save Daredevil.
