Daredevil has been hit by a car, dumped in the trash, and left for dead in a building collapse, but he and his alter ego, Matt, never give up. It seems that the MCU doesn't.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, another Daredevil series is in the works and will be starring Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear. Cox played the character in Daredevil, a show that was part of the now-discontinued Marvel Television unit.
Daredevil, The Defenders, and a third season of The Defenders brought Matt Murdock into contact with his fellow street-level heroes. Disney decided to launch its own streaming service and canceled all of its shows on the same day, despite the fact that they were popular.
It took a year, however, for Disney to launch Disney+ and another three for the more adult-oriented ex-Netflix MCU shows to appear on the platform, where they are now viewable for users after confirmation of an age verification.
After Wilson Fisk/Kingpin was revealed as the surprise villain in Hawkeye and Murdock himself, there was a lot of speculation that Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock would get a new show in the MCU.
Whether or not the new Daredevil show will feature or open the door for the return of Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, or even Frank Castle is currently unknown.
It is not known which other Daredevil cast members will return. It is hard to imagine a Daredevil series without fan favorite characters Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, but it is also hard to imagine Daredevil ever coming back in any format, so it might not be the worst idea to get your hopes up. A tiny bit.
