A superhero in a skull-emblazoned motorcycle helmet stands in an eruption of lightning.

Are you able to feel the electricity in the air? Don't worry, it's just the energy from our exclusive preview of the newest hero. The Dead Lucky, a helmeted hero with electrical powers, is one of the new heroes in the franchise.

As per the official synopsis of the series, the star of the show is a vet who returned to San Francisco, only to discover that the tech consortium is building the city of the future. She might be the hero San Francisco needs. It isn't enough to be good against an enemy of this size. She will have to be lucky.

She lives between worlds, culturally, physically and mentally. I can't wait for the world to see her.

In this preview of issue #1, you can see that the journey is easier with a giant mech.

The mastermind of Radiant Black and the Massive-Verse had nothing but praise for the new title and its team. It was a no-brainer when she pitched me The Dead Lucky. A fascinating look at technology, grief, and our need to connect is what she, French, and Ianoco have put together. I can't wait for people to explore the next part of the Massive-Verse.

The first issue of The Dead Lucky will be released on August 1. It will be available for purchase on a number of digital platforms.
