The solar system is about 38,000 miles per hour and the space station is about 14 billion miles from Earth. NASA engineers working on the 44-year-old spacecraft have recently been vexed by the probe's control system, which is generating data that appears to be completely random.

A mystery like this is par for the course at this stage of the mission, according to Suzanne Dodd, project manager for the mission.

For the past 10 years, the spaceship has been in space. The data sent back to Earth by the spacecraft is still valid, but NASA says the data doesn't match up with what they're seeing.

The team is not sure if the problem comes from the system or another part of the ship.

The mission planners anticipated that the spacecraft would be at least 45 years old, but they were wrong. There are some big challenges for the engineering team. If there is a way to solve this issue with the AACS, our team will find it.
