A close-up of the $120,000 Boba Fett watch.

One day you wake up and think you are a huge Star Wars fan and have your world turned upside down. io9 is filled with writers and readers who are crazy about Star Wars, but do any of us know someone who can afford a $120,000 watch?

There are at least 10 people that the company hopes to find. It created a super high-end, super limited-edition watch that was inspired by Boba Fett. The watch is made from 220 parts and takes 90 hours to make. Here are some images.

There are more images and information on the site. For $120,000, you get a detailed replica of Boba Fett's Starship to store the watch in. Anyone who can afford to spend $120,000 on a watch isn't going to wear it all the time, because they have other ludicrously expensive watches to choose from.

I'm going to take a moment. I think I'm a Star Wars fan. I am a Star Wars fan who has spent obscene amounts of money on very dumb things. I wondered if this was a watch I would buy. I have a collection of Star Wars watches. I wear watches. Would I buy a Star Wars watch if I could afford it?

I don't think so. No doubt, it's beautiful. I like the visual language surrounding the ship. You know the one. It screams Star Wars too loudly. I would prefer the item to be a bit more subtle. It's something you can wear with anything. This is not the same as that. Even if money meant nothing, and it does, I would live in fear of waving my arms around and cracking that little ship in the middle. Is it well made enough to survive a tumble off my nightstand or being banged against a wall?

There are only 10 of them. There are a lot of people who can afford this. I would love for one of them to buy me a drink so I can look at their watch.

Nerdist.
